VIENNA — Both drivers were hospitalized following a rear-ending on Route 13 in Vienna Monday afternoon, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies said Gabriell K. LaBarge, 28, of Sandy Creek, Oswego County, was driving on Route 13 shortly after 4 p.m. when his 2015 Chevy sedan rear-ended a 2014 Jeep suburban, which was stopped in traffic. Both vehicles went off the west shoulder into a ditch.

LaBarge and the other driver — 82-year-old Laurence F. Plumley, of Blossvale — both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at Oneida Health, deputies stated.

LaBarge was ticketed for following too closely and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, authorities said. He is scheduled to appear in Vienna Town Court.
