Hamilton College senior Tim Sommer and sophomore Jayme Wilde have been selected for the 2023 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's lacrosse all-conference team.
Sommer and Wilde were voted to the second team for the second year in a row. They are two of 27 athletes on the all-NESCAC team.
Sommer started all 15 games at midfield and finished the year with 28 points on 22 goals and six assists. He added 25 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. He finished his 42-game Hamilton career with 41 goals and 14 assists for 55 points, along with 51 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Wilde played in 14 games and started 12 of those contests on defense. He is second in the conference with 2.79 caused turnovers per game (39 total) and is 12th with 4.14 ground balls per game (58 total). He also scored a goal.
Sommer and Wilde helped lead the Continentals to an overall record of 7-8 including 4-6 in the NESCAC. Hamilton won seven of its nine games against unranked teams. The Continentals were the No. 7 seed for the conference championship and nearly knocked off No. 2 seed and fifth-ranked Middlebury College in the quarterfinals, but lost 14-13 in double overtime.
