Two men have been charged with a home invasion attack at the Bloomfield Garden Apartments, according to a report by local law enforcement
Police said Richard D.
Tennant, 27, of Ridge Street, and Bret J. Relyea, 27, of
Oswego Road, Blossvale, forced their way into an apartment at about 9:39 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19.
Police said the pair knocked a bedroom door off the hinges and attacked the resident inside, punching and kicking him multiple times.
Police said the victim’s wallet was stolen out of his pocket — containing roughly $700 — and his cell phone was damaged. The pair fled when a neighbor came to investigate, the law enforcers added.
Following an investigation, Tennant and Relyea were taken into custody on Wednesday, Nov. 25, authorities said.
The pair are both charged with one count each of second-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, both felonies, and fourth-degree mischief, police stated. They are scheduled to appear in court to face
the charges, the authorities added.
Police added that Tennant was also turned over to the Sheriff’s Office on an open arrest warrant from an unrelated incident.
