TV contestant and local baker gives talk, demonstration in Oneida


ONEIDA — Andrea Maranville, founder of Silver City Baking Co. and finalist on the ABC network show, “The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition,” will host two events at Oneida Community Mansion House, 170 Kenwood Ave. — on March 28 and April 30.

On Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m., Maranville will share her national television experience and answer questions about her road to “The TENT,” during her talk, “Talk and Shop: Road to the Tent and the Silver City.” The OCMH gift shop and retail bakery will be open 5-7 p.m. A suggested donation of $5 for OCMH programming will be collected.

And on Tuesday, April 30, Maranville will give a 6 p.m. baking demonstration. Reservations are suggested at a fee of $25. The retail bakery and OCMH gift shop will be open once again from 5-7 p.m.

Maranville will give a demonstration and tasting, and share tricks and tips that can be used in the kitchen. Participants are suggested to bring a notebook to take down recipes Maranville will share.
