On May 21, a referendum for funding in support of the Kirkland Town Library will appear on the Clinton Central School District ballot.
This measure will allow the library to shift our main source of funding from the Town of Kirkland to one that allows Clinton School District residents a direct voice in the services the library will be able to offer in 2020.
If the referendum succeeds, in addition to the continuation of current services, the Kirkland Town Library will be able to:
• Increase our operating hours;
• Shorten wait times for materials and increase digital offerings;
• Add materials to the collection to meet the interests and demands of patrons;
• Build on current programming levels for children, teens, and adults.
For more information about the vote, or the Kirkland Town Library, visit www.kirklandtownlibrary.org, or join us for an Open House at the Kirkland Town Library on Wednesday, May 15 from 4-8 p.m. Together, we make our library a place that makes our community better.
