State police continue to investigate the 26-year-old homicide of Madison County couple Carl and Jessie Stabb.
On May 10, 1993 at 10:24 p.m., the State Police at Oneida received a call from Thomas Stabb Jr., stating his parents were bleeding and weren’t moving, law enforcers said.
Members of the state police, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, as well as fire and rescue personnel, responded to the call, where Carl and Jessie Stabb were found deceased. Cause of death was deemed from gunshot wounds, troopers said.
Carl and Jessie Stabb were last seen alive at approximately 8:30 p.m. on the evening of their murders by family members that had been there visiting.
Many leads were followed up on during that time period and the case has remained open, investigators said. Several interviews of potential suspects have been completed throughout the years, however, this homicide has never been solved. No charges were filed.
Anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to call Troop D Headquarters at 315-366-6000.
