Trio of Romans to compete in U.S. Open Local Qualifier

Three Romans will compete in the 2022 U.S. Open Local Qualifier at Shaker Ridge Country Club in Albany on Monday,  May 16.

Wesley Cupp will tee off with the 9:39 a.m. group. Edward Marsh is in the 10:06 a.m. group. Matthew Campbell will tee off with the 10:42 a.m. group.

Eighty players will compete over 18 holes of individual stroke play for five qualifying places and two alternate positions into a sectional qualifying field for the U.S. Open Championship at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, contested June 16-19, 2022.

The field consists of 39 players from New York, 27 from other states, 13 from Canada and one from France. A total of 41 players in the field are amateurs.
