Trio charged in Oneida stabbing, police say

ONEIDA — A 21-year-old man and two younger teenagers have been charged with stabbing a man on Williams Street in Oneida, according to the Oneida Police Department.

Police said Christian Weismore, 21, of Oneida; a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old attacked a 27-year-old man on Williams Street in the early morning hours of July 6. Police said the trio used a knife to stab the victim in the middle of the street and broke his cell phone.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening wounds at Oneida Health, police said.

The investigation used video surveillance footage and interviews with witnesses to identify the three people responsible, all of whom have been taken into custody, authorities stated.

Weismore and both teenagers have all been charged with one count each of second-degree assault a class D felony, police said. Weismore was arraigned in court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in Oneida County Court.

The 17-year-old was arraigned in Madison County Court — Youth Part and was released with supervision.

The 15-year-old was issued a juvenile appearance ticket to appear before Madison County Probation.
