TOWN OF TRENTON — A Trenton woman was hospitalized with a broken arm after law enforcers said she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and her car crashed into her own garage on Round Barn Road.
Deputies said the woman, whose identity was not released, was in her driveway at about 3:20 p.m. when she was startled by something outside her window. Deputies said the sudden shock caused her to mistakenly press down on the gas pedal, launching her vehicle forward into the garage and then into a tree.
Deputies said the woman suffered a broken arm in the crash and she was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica for treatment. Authorities said no tickets were issued.
