TOWN OF TRENTON — At least two people have been displaced from their home on Glass Factory Road after a fire Wednesday afternoon.

Fire officials said a Whitesboro firefighter passing through the area discovered the blaze at 7391 Glass Factory Road and raised the alarm to 9-1-1 at 5:46 p.m. Holland Patent firefighters responded and found the one-story residence fully involved, authorities said.

With assistance from multiple departments, officials said the flames were knocked down in about 30 minutes. Crews then remained on the scene dousing hot spots and cleaning up for several hours.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, fire officials stated.

The American Red Cross said they are assisting two residents with food and clothing.

The Holland Patent, Barneveld, Stittville, Deerfield and Floyd fire departments responded.
