Trail Blazers wrap up Perfect Game season with road defeat


The Adirondack Trail Blazers concluded their Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League season with a 4-1 loss to the host Jamestown Jammers on Sunday.

Joe Hamrick suffered the loss on the mound for the Trail Blazers. He gave up one run on four hits, issued four walks and struck out one batter in five innings.

At the plate, Tyler Bruno and Chuck Hooker both doubled and Bay McIntosh had the lone RBI in the game.

On Saturday, the Trail Blazers split a doubleheader with the Albany Dutchmen, winning the first game 8-4 before dropping the second contest 5-4.

In the first game, Jake Walker earned the win after allowing four runs on five hits. He also walked four and struck out three in six innings.

Riley Schaefer went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, while Joe Simone and Justin Smith both doubled.

In the second game, Kyle Cashman took the loss for Adirondack after allowing five runs on 10 hits. He struck out four in 6 1/3 innings.

Jordan Torrento doubled and Steffen Torgersen had an RBI.

The Trail Blazers finished their season with a 16-32 record.
