Trail Blazers win once in three games


BOONVILLE — The Adirondack Trail Blazers spilt a doubleheader with Utica on Saturday, winning the opener, 9-8, and losing the second game, 6-1.

On Sunday, the Trail Blazers lost to the Mohawk Valley Diamonddawgs, 12-4. All of the games played this weekend were played in Boonville.

On Saturday, Bradley Roberto, Matt Rubayo and Isiah Daubon all doubled for the Trail Blazers and Anthony Boselli homered and Mike Caruso sent two over the wall. Also in the opener, Caruso drove in four runs and Boselli had two RBIs.

Jack Wallace picked up the win on the mound. In Game 2, the Trail Blazers only pushed across one run on Danny Glendon’s fifth inning RBI single.

On Sunday, the Trail Blazers got RBIs from David Marcano and Jon Iadevaia. Chris Stapleton took the loss on the mound.

Adirondack is 12-18 on the season and returns to the field tonight when they travel to take on Saugerties at 7:05.
