Over the weekend, the Adirondack Trail Blazers split a pair of Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contests, defeating Oneonta 9-5 on the road on Saturday before falling 7-5 to the Utica Blue Sox on Sunday at home.

In Saturday’s contest, Zach Zientarski drove in three RBIs, Dugan Darnell tripled and had a RBI for the Trail Blazers and Joseph Simone, Robert Zurawski, Lou Matarazzo, Bay McIntosh and Bailey Collins also had RBIs in the win for Adirondack.

Jake Walker picked up the win on the mound for the Trail Blazers, tossing five innings of one hit, shutout ball while adding six strike outs.

On Sunday, the Trail Blazers committed seven errors in the loss to the Blue Sox.

Matarazzo picked up two RBIs and Dan Abate also had two. Jake VanBeber took the loss for Adirondack.

Adirondack is 2-2 on the season and next plays on Tuesday against the Blue Sox at Murnane Field at 6:30.
