Trail Blazers routed by Jamestown


JAMESTOWN — The Adirondack Trail Blazers suffered a 12-2 rout at the hands of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League-leading Jamestown Jammers on Friday night.

John Boswell crushed a two-run homer over the left field wall to give the Trail Blazers an early lead, but they were limited to only the first inning.

Matthew Valin took the loss for Adirondack, giving up three hits and six runs, four of which were earned, in three innings. He also struck out four.

The Jammers improved to a PGCBL-best record of 25-5 with the win. The loss extends the Trail Blazers’ losing streak to four games.

Adirondack heads to Elmira tonight for a 7:05 start.
