BOONVILLE — The Adirondack Trail Blazers of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League are back for another season, though the team is off to a rough start.
The Trail Blazers are 1-7 and sit last out of six teams in the West Division.
The team plays next against the Watertown Rapids at 6:15 tonight on the road. The season runs through July 31.
The team includes two players from the area: Connor Hamilton, a catcher at West Virginia University who played at Adirondack High School; and CJ Tucker, a pitcher who is a freshman at Canisius who played at Notre Dame High of Utica.
The other pitchers are Jack Bebbington (Marist), Collin Foster (Kutztown), Joe Georgini (NJIT), Jason Hebner (Fairfield), Andrew Hernandez (Mercy), Gino Holler (Delaware), Nick Jaskolski (Sacred Heart), Patrick Jordan (Westfield State), Stephen Kalayjian (Rockland County CC), Corey Loper (Delaware State), Kevin McNiff (New Haven), Steven Miller (Penn State), Montana Semmel (Chipola), Ryan Solomine (Mitchell), Thomas Swafford (Creighton) and Mike Untratch (Iona).
The other two catchers are Zach Doss (Maryland) and Owen Richter (Creighton).
The infielders are Liam Bendo (Saint Joseph’s), Noah Budzik (New Haven), Alec Burns (West Virginia), Vincent Cimini (Boston College), Peter Cosentino (Montclair State), Randy Flores (Franklin Pierce), Andy Hague (University of Connecticut) and Daniel Irisarri (Nova Southeastern).
The outfielders are Andrew Elcock (NJIT), Kevin Ferrer (UConn), Jarret Hall Nova Southeaster), Tafton Hensley ((Virginia Tech), Jacob Holton (Chattanooga State), Will Jennings (Iona) and Chris Rotondo (Villanova).
The rest of the teams in the division are the Utica Blue Sox, Geneva Red Wings, Watertown Rapids, Elmira Pioneers and Newark Pilots. The teams in the East Division are the Amsterdam Mohawks, Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs, Saugerties Stallions, Glens Falls Dragons, Oneonta Outlaws and Albany Dutchmen.
