Trail Blazers fall to Elmira in Perfect Game League contest


ELMIRA — The Adirondack Trail Blazers suffered a 6-4 loss to the Elmira Pioneers in a five-inning Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contest on Thursday at Dunn Field.

Kyle Cashman took the loss, giving up eight hits, six runs, walked two and struck out two in three innings.

Bay McIntosh went 2-for-2 with two doubles and Steffen Torgensen went 2-for-2, including a triple and three RBIs. Justin Smith was also credited with an RBI.

The setback pushes the Trail Blazers to a 4-7 mark.

Weather-permitting, they return to the diamond take on the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs tonight at Veterans Memorial Park. First pitch is 6:35, weather-permitting.
