TODAY: Planned power outage at noon for Oriskany Falls area

ORISKANY FALLS — The Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative will conduct a planned power outage at noon today for the area around Oriskany Falls, including the towns of Marshall, Augusta, Brookfield, Madison and Hamilton.

Cooperative officials said an issue was discovered on a 46,000-volt connection in the Oriskany Falls substation. In order to make immediate repairs, the cooperative will hold this planned power outage starting at noon.

The outage is expected to last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.
