Ticket lottery offered for Book of Mormon
UTICA — The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards including best musical, has announced it will offer a lottery ticket for upcoming shows in Utica at The Stanley Theatre. As part of this program, a limited number of tickets will be available at $25 each.
While the lottery for the Broadway production of The Book of Mormon has attracted as many as 800 entries at some performances, the producers of the musical will offer low-priced lottery seats for every city on the national tour.
Lottery entries for each person will be accepted, starting at 9 a.m. on the morning of each performance, Friday, Sept. 23, and Saturday, Sept. 24, and will be accepted until 4 p.m. each day. A limited number of tickets will be sold to the winners of the lottery. Each winning participant will receive the opportunity to purchase two tickets at $25 per ticket, inclusive of all fees. All winners will be notified by 5:15 p.m. on the day of performance. Tickets can be purchased in person only at the box office at the Stanley Theatre in Utica between 5:30 and 7:15 p.m. on the evening of the performance.
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Government ID is needed at the time of purchase for verification.
Seat location is assigned based on availability. Tickets cannot be transferred to other people or exchanged for different performance. One entry per person. No purchase necessary to enter. Individuals must be 18 years or older to enter.

The Book of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. The Broadway production is directed by Parker and Casey Nicholaw, and choreographed by Nicholaw. The tour is directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner based on the original Broadway direction and choreography.
