The state program showcasing New York-grown farm products at Thruway service areas is recruiting producers for the 2019 season, which starts April 1.
Only produce grown or produced in New York may be sold. Market days and hours of operation are dependent on product availability and weather. New York vendors interested in selling food products at Taste NY Farm Markets may email TravelersServices@thruway.ny.gov for more information on how to participate this season.
The Taste NY Farm Markets program is operated by the Thruway Authority and Department of Agriculture and Markets. Motorists may visit thruway.ny.gov for locations, hours, participating farms and available products. In 2018, producers participated at 20 service areas, showcasing fruit, vegetables, honey, maple syrup, nuts, butter and cheese. More on the program is at www.taste.ny.gov.
