Three accused of stealing donated clothing from Waterville church
WATERVILLE — Three people have been charged with stealing bags of clothing from the United Methodist Church, 214 Madison St., according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Nicole Wystozaly, 38, of Oriskany Falls; Glen Sauerhafer, 39, of Waterville, and Shane Riano, 36, of Bridgewater, stole bags of clothing from the donation shed at the church on May 10. The clothing was intended to go to community members in need, authorities noted.
Following an investigation, all three were identified and taken into custody. All three are charged with one count of third-degree burglary, a class D felony, authorities stated. They are scheduled to appear in court.
The bags of clothing were recovered and returned to the church, authorities noted.
