SAUQUOIT — A non-direct threat posted to a Sauquoit Valley High School student’s social media was investigated and considered non-credible, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the Sheriff’s Office was notified Wednesday night after a non-direct threat was posted to a student’s TikTok account in the Sauquoit Valley School District. Authorities said the threat was investigated and found not to be credible.
School administrators were advised of the incident and assisted in the investigation. The Sheriff’s Office increased their presence in and around the high school on Thursday as a precaution.
