Threat at Waterville school determined not credible, deputies say


WATERVILLE — A potential threat reported at Waterville Elementary School Thursday evening was determined to not be credible, according to law enforcement officials.

Sheriff's deputies said they were called to the Bacon Street school Thursday evening for a reported threat. The specifics of the threat were not released. Deputies said the threat was investigated and it was determined to not be credible.

Authorities said the students and staff are not in any danger. Authorities said the threat was not connected to the Berkshire Bank robbery in Oriskany Falls from Wednesday afternoon. The robbery remains under investigation.
