ONEIDA — A voice mail threat received by the North Broad Elementary School in Oneida early Wednesday morning was deemed not credible, according to the Oneida Police Department.

Police said school employees checking voice mails before school hours Wednesday morning found a threatening message left by an undisclosed caller. Law enforcement was notified and the school was searched by both Oneida Police and the New York State Police.

The threat was determined to not be credible and the building was deemed safe, authorities said.

School is expected to continue as normal for the rest of the week. Police said there will be an increased law enforcement presence throughout the district.
