The three-ring circus of impeachment is almost over but, my goodness, what an entertaining show they have for us.
In the center ring, the contortionist New York Times performed a triple flip in support of Democrats running the headline, “In Rush to Acquit, GOP Brushes off Bolton’s Account.” How deftly the Times whistles past the Democrats’ rush to impeach that sidelined their key witnesses they tried to strong-arm the Senate to call. The Times also overlooks how House Democrats brushed off every single Republican witness in their rush.
Up next, the center ring will host a wail of anguish to be heard as the party faithful claim the Senate would have found Trump guilty if only Democrat witnesses had been allowed in the Senate. Really? The compliant national media doesn’t mention House Democrats still hide testimony transcript of the intel community’s Inspector General, Michael Atkinson.
The circus’ second ring has Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts dancing. Although Roberts ostensibly could not know the name of Rep. Adam Schiff’s minions and associates that ostensibly started the Democrat rush to judgment, he refused to ask Senator Rand Paul’s question inquiring into prior interaction between House Democrats and officials about impeachment.
The third ring offers a pretzel-twist over the Democrat’s silly notion that a president who wants to do something good for America cannot proceed if it also serves him politically.
Flying high over the three ring circus are the national media, including the Associated Press. AP has, since the outset, endlessly repeated Democrat impeachment charges without pointing out that a president’s request to investigate past corruption would only involve former vice president Joe Biden if Biden, in fact, had been involved in past corruption.
Could it be possible Democrats do not dare have past corruption investigated for fear of what might be found? Could it be possible that many in the national media support Democrats in this?
Stay tuned for the next show. There will be one.
