Thomas Knauer’s Activist Stitches Quilts on display at KAC

CLINTON — A new exhibition at the Kirkland Art Center, 9 1/2 E. Park Row, features more than a dozen quilts by Thomas Knauer.

The collection is an array of  themed quilts focusing on  societal issues ranging from gun violence to living with chronic illness.

Most of the artwork is for sale and prices vary by piece.

A free artist reception will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29. Masks are required. The exhibition will run through March 5. Everyone is welcome to visit the Kirkland Art Center Gallery to enjoy this and other exhibitions throughout the year.

The Kirkland Art Center Gallery is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays 1-4 p.m. All exhibitions are free and masks are required at this time. For more information about exhibitions, classes, music and other programs, call 315-853-8871 or go online at www.kacny.org.
