Joan (Glenn Close) is a highly intelligent and still-striking beauty – the perfect devoted wife. Forty years spent sacrificing her own talent, dreams, and ambitions to fan the flames of her charismatic husband Joe (Jonathan Pryce) and his skyrocketing literary career.
