The Cookers bring 250 years of jazz experience to Hamilton College

CLINTON — Hamilton College Performing Arts and the Fillius Jazz Archive present The Cookers at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.

Featuring jazz veterans Billy Harper, Donald Harrison, Eddie Henderson, George Cables, Cecil McBee, Billy Hart and David Weiss, The Cookers forge a world-class union. This exciting all-star septet’s repertoire includes an expansive collection on post-bop originals. The group contains two NEA Jazz Masters.

Members have performed and toured with jazz legends over the years.

The depth and power of their music speaks to their combined track record of over 250 years of experience and more than 1,000 recordings.

Tickets are $20, $15 for senior citizens and $5 for students. Hamilton College is at 198 College Hill Road.
