Terry J. (Kotary) Brundage, 55, of Rome passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.. She was born in Rome on October 14, 1962, the daughter of Benjamin and Gloria (Ashley) Kotary. On January 14, 1983, she married Charles Brundage in the Lowell Methodist Church.
Terry was a graduate of Westmoreland High and she was very proud of her college degrees: an Associate’s Degree in Social Work; a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling; and a PhD in Psychology.
Terry worked for twenty years at the Rome DDSO before retiring in 1998 due to illness.
She loved to sit out in her yard every day, watching her grandsons in the pool and playing basketball and enjoyed her daily visits from friends who stopped by for an outdoor chat.
Terry is survived by: her husband, Charles; her parents, Benjamin and Gloria; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gloria and Wally Wright and Jeanette Myers; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Brenda Kotary; four grandsons, Wally Jr. and Ryan Wright and Ethan and Dylan Myers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by: her maternal grandparents, William and Jeanette Ashley; uncle, Bill Ashley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Wright Settlement Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
