ALBANY — The campaign of Rep. Claudia L. Tenney’s for New York’s 23rd Congressional District has filed petitions with more than 9,000 signatures from Republican and Conservative voters across 14 counties.

Over 1,000 volunteers helped the Tenney campaign reach the number, doubling her total from previous elections and demonstrating her strong support in Western New York and the Southern Tier.

Tenney, of New Hartford, currently represents the 22nd Congressional District.

According to the Tenney campaign, the filings included 7,706 Republican signatures and 1,490 Conservative signatures.

“I am grateful for our amazing team of volunteers who collected a record number of signatures despite non-stop rain, snow, sleet and hail,” Tenney said.”Throughout the petition process we worked closely with Senators Patrick Gallivan, George Borrello, Pam Helming, Tom O’Mara and Assemblymembers David DiPietro, Andy Goodell, Joseph Giglio, Marjorie Byrnes, Philip Palmesano, and Christopher Friend. Republican and Conservative voters are fired up and excited to turnout in droves for our united GOP team this November.”
