Teenager injured in Route 46 rollover

A Utica teenager was hospitalized after his SUV rolled over on Route 46 in Rome’s outer district Friday afternoon.

Sheriff’s deputies said Alexis Czeck, 19, was westbound on Route 46 at about 6 p.m. when his 2007 Honda CRV went off the north shoulder due to a mechanical failure. Deputies said the vehicle rolled several times before landing on its roof.

Czeck was taken to Rome Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said. No tickets were issued.
