WESTMORELAND — A Westmoreland teenager was hospitalized after flying over the handlebars of his all terran vehicle in his backyard on Old Oneida Road on Tuesday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies said the 16-year-old was riding in his backyard around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when his ATV hit a pot hole in the ground and he was thrown over the handlebars. The teen suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the St. Elizabeth campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, authorities stated.
