Teams join together to host Relay for Life fundraiser

The Relay for Life teams of Rainbow of Faith and Rainbow of Hope from the First Presbyterian Church and Woods Valley will host a “Pampered Chef” Party at Gone Coastal, 5345 Lee Center-Taberg Road, beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo will follow at 6 p.m. The admission price is $15 and it includes light munchies by Gone Coastal as well as two-card, 10-pack bingo cards.

People may purchase tickets for the event ahead of time at Gone Coastal; the First Presbyterian Church, 108 W. Court St; Engelbert Jewelers, 265 W. Dominick St., or by contacting Diane Kullmann at 315-292-3489 and Sue Hanson at 315-336-6251. 

There are more than $700 worth of Pampered Chef products for prizes. There will be two raffles.The first one is a Pampered Chef indoor outdoor grill and the second is sponsored by Engelbert Jewelers.

Extra bingo packets will also be for sale at $10. Daubers will be available for purchase but participants are encouraged to bring their own.

All profits will go to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Rome.

The theme for this year’s walk is “Step Right Up and Relay.” The walk will be held at the State School for the Deaf on Turin Street on June 1 and 2.
