Tax deadlines loom in Rome

ROME — Taxpayers in the city of Rome are reminded that Monday, May 1, is the last day to pay the second half of the school taxes, the first half of 2023 combined city taxes and the second quarter metered water and sewer fees without penalty.

Payments by mail must be postmarked by May 1 or dropped in the night depository on the north side of Rome City Hall by 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2.

People may also pay taxes in person. The city treasurer’s office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Payments can also be made at www.romenewyork.com.
