Taste of Rome to feature fun, food trucks on Saturday

The Rome Art and Community Center’s annual Taste of Rome festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost of admission is one non-perishable food item per person.

The event features food trucks, demonstrations, and seasonal activities for children, including story time courtesy of the Rome Lions Club.

Vendors and attractions at this year’s festival are to include a bounce house, and representatives from Rome’s Capitol Theater, outdoor guide and veteran Sentinel writer Norm Landis, BOCES adult education, Rome Fire and Police Departments, various area farms, the Rome Art Association, and more.

The schedule of live entertainment is as follows:

  • DJ Joe Bechy from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • A presentation from the Wild Animal Park at 1 p.m.
  • A session with the Full Lotus Yoga at 2 p.m.
  • A concert from The Key Notes from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
