Talarico named Medical Director for Cardiac Services at MVHS
UTICA — Long-time cardiologist Dr. Fred L. Talarico joined the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Medical Group and became MVHS Cardiovascular and Preventative Medicine with Fred Talarico, MD, FACC on Sept. 1.
A long-time cardiologist in the Mohawk Valley community, Dr. Talarico has been named Medical Director for Cardiac Services at MVHS.
“In our continuing efforts to help meet our community’s health care needs for many years to come, we have decided to merge with the MVHS Medical Group,” Talarico said. “I, along with nurse practitioners Pat Rosati, ANP, and Taylor Unser, FNP-C, look forward to making this transition.”
MVHS has been working to enhance comprehensive cardiac services at MVHS – from prevention to interventional services, from surgery to rehabilitation. This work is being led by Talarico in conjunction with MVHS.
In August 2021, MVHS received the prestigious HeartCARE Center: National Distinction of Excellence from the American College of Cardiology (ACC). MVHS is further strengthening its cardiac service line for the upcoming transition to the new Wynn Hospital in 2023.
Talarico and his team began seeing patients on Sept. 1 at the MVHS Medical Arts Building, 4401 Middle Settlement Road, Suite 208, New Hartford. The office can be reached at 315-733-1148.
