A Take Back the Night event — to raise awareness of domestic violence and its impacts on victims and families —will be hosted at Rome City Hall on Thursday evening.
According to an announcement by event organizers, the Take Back the Night event will feature a group walk starting and ending at City Hall on North Washington Street, followed by candlelight vigil and a public forum on domestic violence.
The event is free and open to the public.
Take Back the Night will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
The YWCA of the Mohawk Valley is hosting the event, which is part of the national Week Without Violence.
