Rome Memorial Hospital offers free blood pressure screenings the last Thursday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the retail pharmacy on the ground floor just inside the Bartlett Wing entrance.

You can join a smoking prevention support group by calling Rome Memorial Hospital’s Education Department, 315-338-7143. The next smoking cessation program will begin Oct. 2 at Rome Memorial Hospital.

Free diabetes education classes will be held at Rome Memorial Hospital on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m, Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. and Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. Participants meet in the hospital lobby. Patient and Staff Educator Mary Rose Spellicy teaches how to take charge of your diabetes with exercise, healthy eating, medication, measuring blood sugar, and protecting your feet and eyes.
