Syracuse jazz legend to perform at View
OLD FORGE — Ronnie Lee, a Syracuse jazz impresario, will perform at View, 3273 State Route 28, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21.
Leigh will perform along with Dino Losito, on piano; Peter Chwazi, on bass; and Jimmy Johns, on drums.
For the past five decades, Leigh has showcased his multi-octave range and engaging stage presence, receiving five Syracuse Area Music (Sammy) awards.

Leigh has performed from New York City to Istanbul, and Syracuse to Seattle and has worked with such artists as Smokey Robinson to Aretha Franklin to Ray Charles, and he is considered one of the finest song stylists working in jazz today, according to the View announcement. He has made guest appearances with The Drifters, Pat Metheny, The Yellowjackets, David Benoit, Special EFX, Spyro Gyra, David Sanborn, Etta Jones, and the Syracuse Symphony among others.
The Jazz In the City’s co-founder and artistic director, Leigh also serves as artistic director for Fayetteville Jazz.
Leigh, an Albany native, has also been inducted into the SAMMY Hall of Fame.
