SYLVAN BEACH — After 37 memorable years, Cinderella’s Restaurant, operated by the Farnach family has decided not to reopen in 2019.

Joseph and Cindy Farnach founded Cinderella’s in 1981 and the business was recently operated by their daughter Brittany.

“We’re very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish for the community of Sylvan Beach over nearly four decades, but it is time for Cindy and I to retire,” said Joe Farnach.

“I’m glad to see Mom and Dad get to relax after a lot of years of tireless work. It’s time for them to spend time with their grandchildren, travel, and enjoy the fruits of their hard work,” said Brittany Farnach.

She continued, saying “I’ll miss working with our team members and our guests, they’ve become family over many years.”

Brittany will join her brother Brendan at All-Seasonings Ingredients, a family business employing 70 people in Oneida.

Cinderella’s Suites will continue to operate year-round while a new operator for the restaurant and property is being pursued, according to the announcement by the family.
