LOWVILLE — A 27-year-old man wanted for possession of a stolen ATV was taken into custody after a short chase through the Lewis County Fair Wednesday morning, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies said Kyle T. Simpson, of Number Four Road, Lowville, was wanted in connection to the theft of an ATV in Lowville on May 28.

Deputies said Simpson was located at the Lewis County Fair on Wednesday, and he was taken into custody following a short foot pursuit.

Simpsons is charged with one count of fourth-degree possession of stolen property, a class E felony, deputies said. He is also charged with a probation violation, and is wanted by the state police in Watertown on an unrelated incident, authorities added. He is scheduled to appear in court.
