SUNY Poly men’s lacrosse coach Brandon Misiaszek has earned the North Atlantic Conference’s coach of the year honor.

It is the second time in as many years Misiaszek has earned the honor. He is also a New Hartford High School graduate.

Misiaszek’s team wrapped up the regular season with a 6-1 (.857) record in the NAC and 7-6 (.538) overall. The 2021 champions fell in the conference semifinal round this year. Misiaszek finished his sixth season with SUNY Poly and has a 41-32 record.

During the 2022 regular season, SUNY Poly scored 149 goals, registered 73 assists, and averaged 11.46 goals per game.

In addition, SUNY senior and NAC co-defensive player of the year Joseph Fontanella was named to the first team all-conference. Three other SUNY Poly players — graduate attack Edward Rosaschi, senior midfielder Shane Wyman and first-year midfielder Payton Thomas — earned second team honors.
