MARCY — SUNY Polytechnic Institute has received the number-one ranking among best accredited online colleges in New York according to the EDsmart research organization.
EDsmart, an online publisher of college resources and evaluations, based its rankings on financial aid available; average net price; retention rate; and graduation rate, according to the announcement by SUNY Poly.
Of the 45 degree plans available at SUNY Poly, 12 are currently through online or hybrid online and in-person courses, according to EDsmart. It said degrees available for study online cover a wide variety of fields, but added that the nursing and data management degrees in particular allow students to take a large number of the courses needed to graduate online.
The rankings can be found here: http://www.edsmart.org/accredited-online-colleges/new-york/
Financial aid is readily available for SUNY Poly’s online courses, with a range of scholarships, grants, loans and tax deductions provided, EDsmart observed. Directly following SUNY Poly in EDsmart’s rankings of the 15 best in the state were Roberts Wesleyan College, Stony Brook University, SUNY Canton, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, SUNY Alfred, and SUNY Oneonta.
The latest ranking comes a month after SUNY Poly was ranked fifth nationwide among the 20 best affordable healthcare administration and management online degree programs by the Affordable Schools education resource organization.
