A new online master’s degree program in Transformational Leadership in Nursing for current baccalaureate nurses has been announced by SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Applications are being accepted for the fall 2019 semester for the 39-credit graduate program, said SUNY Poly, adding that full-time and part-time baccalaureate students can complete it in two and four years respectively.

The nursing program is based at SUNY Poly’s Marcy campus, the college said. An online baccalaureate nursing program was implemented in fall 2018.

“While all students enrolled in SUNY Poly’s nursing programs will have access to the same tools and knowledge, this online program will help to ensure access to every student no matter how busy their schedule may be,” said SUNY Poly interim President Grace Wang. The program is “a welcome addition to our ongoing efforts to offer both current and prospective nursing students an opportunity to earn degrees through both traditional and non-traditional classroom and field settings.”

Kathleen Sellers, coordinator of the Transformational Leadership Program, is “delighted that SUNY Poly will once again be offering a program that prepares nurse leaders to thrive in an increasingly complex, ever-changing healthcare environment.”

Current nurses interested in the program with academic questions can contact Sellers at 315-792-7295 or kathleen.sellers@sunypoly.edu. Those with questions regarding admissions can contact Director of Graduate Admissions Alicia Foster at 315-792-7347 or alicia.foster@sunypoly.edu.
