Successful negotiations between Frankfort-Schuyler school district, teachers association

FRANKFORT — The Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District has announced the successful completion of negotiations with the Frankfort-Schuyler Teachers Association for a new collective bargaining agreement.

“Working collaboratively with our teachers association further illustrated the positive culture that exists in the FSCSD. We collectively remain focused on serving our students, supporting each other and partnering with parents. The district is fortunate and grateful to have such a group of caring, dedicated and creative champions,” said Joseph M. Palmer, the district’s superintendent of schools.

The president of the Frankfort-Schuyler Teachers Association Bruce Race expressed similar sentiments stating, “Contract negotiations were a respectful process with people who were easy to work with. It was the fastest settlement in 20 years. FSTA feels we have an open, honest and productive relationship with the district’s team; which has and will certainly continue to benefit students in the years to come.”

The parties’ new collective bargaining agreement will remain in effect from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2026. This settlement marks the third successful negotiation between the District and its employee bargaining units in the past year.
