Subway named Rome Chamber Member of Week

Posted

The Rome Area Chamber of Commerce has named Subway as its Member of the Week. The sub shop at 204 E. Thomas St. is celebrating its 26th year in business.

A major remodeling of the store was completed shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic began. To better protect customers at this time, they have reduced seating, enacted social distancing requirements and added sanitizing steps per the company and the industry. Subway is now offering contactless pickup for customers who order and pay online or with the Subway App. This has been a popular feature, and a large percentage of customers now order electronically as a result, Subway noted. Another recent addition is curbside pickup, now available daily from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Founders Bill and Joan Moore of Rome and their son, Matt, appreciate the support shown by community during the pandemic. General manager Jim Mott wants customers to leave feedback after using electronic ordering, via the “Subway Listens” site.
