CANASTOTA — Storytime with Mrs. Liz has restarted at the Canastota Public Library.
Families with children, ages three to five can attend one of the many sessions offered during the month. Families must RSVP to attend as sessions are limited to five students. Additionally, everyone is required to wear a mask and social distance. If a child is showing any signs of illness and are signed up for a session, attendees are asked to not attend that day. Storytime sessions will continue through December.
The first and third Thursdays of each month starting at 10 a.m.
The third Monday of each month starting at 10 a.m.
The third Tuesday of each month starting at 10 a.m.
Artist of the Month has returned to the Library as well. In October, Ruth Donovan is the featured artist. Donovan’s work will be on display in the Lawson Community Room on the lower level of the library. A signature member of the CNY Watercolor Society, Donovan lives in Oneida.
The Library also has meeting spaces available for those working from home who may need a change of scenery.
The library requires everyone who comes through the door to wear face masks, use hand sanitizer, and to socially distance while visiting the library. Staff have also increased cleaning in high contact areas and installed Plexiglas partitions at the circulation desk and in one of the meeting spaces.
The library will remain open as long as COVID-19 cases are ten or fewer in the town of Lenox. If there are more than ten cases, the library will lock its doors and provide visits by appointment and curbside delivery.
Those with questions can call the library at 315-697-7030 or email at email@example.com.
The library is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Canastota Public Library is located at 102 W. Center Street in Canastota.
