MUNNSVILLE — Stockbridge Valley Central School District has been chosen as a National Showcase School for the Capturing Kids’ Hearts framework. This prestigious distinction sets Stockbridge Valley apart as the sole school in New York state to receive this honor.

Superintendent Corey Graves expressed his admiration for the K-6 grade staff members who have wholeheartedly embraced the Capturing Kids’ Hearts framework.

“Their unwavering dedication and commitment exemplify the remarkable achievements that can be attained when a community comes together,” he said.

The Capturing Kids’ Hearts framework provides education professionals with experiential training, expert coaching, a character-based curriculum, and personalized support. Its goal is to create an engaging environment where students feel a sense of belonging, allowing staff to focus on each child’s social-emotional well-being, he added.

By fostering a relationship-driven campus culture and promoting student connectedness, this program empowers educators to implement transformative processes that enhance the overall learning experience, the announcement said.

Being designated a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School is a testament to Stockbridge Valley’s exceptional ability to create safe and inclusive environments, officials said, adding these schools prioritize building strong relationships, ensuring students feel connected and eager to learn.
