VERNON — Tony Stewart’s All-Star Circuit of Champions is scheduled to make its only appearance of the season at Utica-Rome Speedway on Friday night.

Stewart is expected to compete at the Speedway for the first time since 2012 in Friday’s main event for 410 sprint cars, according to track officials.

A three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Stewart is a 2020 inductee for the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Aaron Reutzel of Clute, Texas, leads the All-Star Circuit of Champions point standings over series champion Dale Blaney.

The All-Stars will be joined by the modifieds in an open competition event.

The 30-lap event allows numerous motor combinations along with an open tire format. No sail panels are allowed.

Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. while spectator gates open at 4:30. Racing starts at 7.
