Stefanik endorsed by Fraternal Order of Police
GLENS FALLS — The New York State’s Fraternal Order of Police (NYSFOP) recently announced its endorsement of Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-21, Schuylerville, for reelection. The union represents approximately 355,000 members throughout the nation, including 20,000 in New York.
“The New York State’s Fraternal Order of Police is proud to back Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for reelection,” said Mike Essig, president of the NYSFOP. “Elise is the only candidate running for Congress in New York’s 21st Congressional District that police officers can truly trust. We thank Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for her work on our behalf and look forward to continuing to work with her at the highest levels of the federal government to advance pro-police legislation in Congress.”
“I am honored and humbled to earn the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police, which represents 20,000 brave law enforcement officers across New York,” Stefanik said.
“They know that I have a strong track record of backing the blue and standing up to the radical far left’s defund the police movement, including dangerous and failed bail reform. I understand that New Yorkers and Americans want a return to law and order, and the quickest way to accomplish this is by providing law enforcement officers with the resources they need,” she added.
“I look forward to continuing my work with the New York State’s Fraternal Order of Police to back the blue in Congress when Republicans earn back control of the House this November,” she added.
