ROME — A 57-year-old man is accused of stealing $70 worth of steaks from the Grand Union in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said George Tennant, of Rome, grabbed $70 worth of steaks from the Erie Boulevard super market around 10:30 a.m. Friday and tried to leave the store without paying.
Tennant is charged with one count of petty larceny, police stated. He was released on an appearance ticket for Rome City Court.
